Sweet Soul: A Balanced Life | Nancy Chen

As a verb, balance is defined as: “to keep or put (something) in a steady position so that it does not fall”. As a noun, balance is defined as: “an even distribution of weight enabling someone or something to remain upright and steady.” When it comes to my new series “A Balanced Life” I have chosen a few lovely ladies to feature that I believe embody what it means to live a balanced and healthy lifestyle. These women inspire me to keep buying organically (even if it is more expensive and some people just don’t get it), to keep working out (even if it is the first time in my life I am getting fit in a healthy way) and to keep up the positive attitude and energy.

Hi everyone!

Welcome back to my Balanced Life series. I took a little break from blogging to de-stress from a bunch of things that were going on, but I am back and ready to attack! In order to kick things off, I am bringing you my eighth Balanced Babe: Nancy Chen aka @approachingpaleo on Instagram. Not only is she a boss when it comes to fitness and leading a healthy lifestyle (just follow her on Insta to see what I’m talking about), but she is just a boss babe at being resilient. Similar to myself, she too fought through a horrible eating disorder and came out on top! That is truly inspiring to me, and I hope after reading her interview, you leave here inspired as well!

Sweet Soul: A Balanced Life | Georgina Castellucci of @BostonGeorgina

As a verb, balance is defined as: “to keep or put (something) in a steady position so that it does not fall”. As a noun, balance is defined as: “an even distribution of weight enabling someone or something to remain upright and steady.” When it comes to my new series “A Balanced Life” I have chosen a few lovely ladies to feature that I believe embody what it means to live a balanced and healthy lifestyle. It is time for my sixth installment of this amazing series: A Balanced Life. If you have missed any of the beautiful and inspiring women in this series, simply type in “A Balanced Life” in the search bar, and all of the interviews will appear. Today’s Balanced Babe is a friend of mine who is no stranger to the Boston food and lifestyle scene, Georgina Castellucci. As humble as she is, if you’re in the Boston blogger scene, then you know who Georgina is (be one of the 15.6 thousand people who follow her, here), and if you don’t, then you are in the perfect place to get to learn a little bit more about her. I am inspired by Georgina not only for what she has accomplished professionally and in the blogging sphere, but also what she continues to overcome personally. Georgina suffers from SLE (Systemic Lupus Erythematosus), or Lupus for short (read more about her story about Lupus, here). When you meet her, smile as bright and wide as can be, you would NEVER notice that anything might be ailing her. She does not show it. She is a GIRL BOSS, and I could not wait to share her inspiring story with the rest of you guys! Continue reading for more…

Sweet Soul: A Balanced Life | Elizabeth Stein of Purely Elizabeth

My third Balanced Babe in this inspiring A Balanced Life Series is Elizabeth Stein, Founder and CEO of Purely Elizabeth. If you are a health foodie, or have ever been in a health food store, then I’m sure you have seen Elizabeth’s granola (and other products) up and down the aisles. Not only is she beautiful, but she inspires those around her to lead a healthful lifestyle. Just as much as she cares about helping others lead healthy lives, she cares about preserving and taking care of the environment. Purely Elizabeth donates 1% of its sales to non-profit companies who make it their mission to take care of the planet, such as: Charity Water and the Fruit Tree Planting Foundation. If that hasn’t already inspired you to get out there and do more, keep reading below to learn even more about this amazing woman!
