Nutty Cashew Butter Cups ft: Elements Truffles

I’m not really a dessert person, but when it comes to Ayurvedic desserts made with raw and organic chocolates, your girl cannot resist. I have been exploring and learning about how different foods and spices can improve one’s health and love finding delicious ways to incorporate them.

Elements Truffles reached out to me and sent me some of their Ayurvedic Chocolates and I knew exactly what recipe I would make from them. Before I dive into the recipe, let me give a brief background on what Ayurveda and Ayurvedic chocolate is.

The Websters dictionary defines Ayurveda as: the traditional Hindu system of medicine, which is based on the idea of balance in bodily systems and uses diet, herbal treatment, and yogic breathing.

As stated on their website: “Elements Truffles are hand-crafted in micro batches, our chocolate is raw, organic, free from dairy, free from GMOs or any artificial flavors and are infused with Ayurvedic super foods. Our chocolates are made with the purest ingredients and intention to spread happiness and love. Our body is made up of five elements – Earth, Water, Fire, Air and Ether. Ayurveda superfoods help balance these elements and bring about a sense of happiness and peace.”

So, it’s safe to say that if you eat these nutty cashew butter cups, you are bound to move a few steps closer to that life of balance you have been tirelessly searching for.

What you will need

  • 3 bars of your choice of Elements Truffles
  • 2 tbsp organic coconut oil
  • Cashew Butter
  • assortment of nuts
  • Nut butter cup papers

Break the chocolate bars into smaller pieces and place into a sauce pan. Turn the fire on to low heart and stir as the chocolates melt.

While the chocolate is melting, melt the cashew butter in another sauce pan, or in the microwave.

Once all of the chocolate is melted, add your coconut oil. This will make the melted chocolate smoother and give it an almost buttery taste.

Remove the chocolate and melted cashew butter from the fire and pour your chocolate into the cashew cup papers. Put them on a tray and place in the oven for 10 miutes.

After 10 minutes, the chocolate should have hardened. Add your cashew butter and assorted nuts next and then pour the rest of the melted chocolate mixture on top.

Place in the fridge for another 10 minutes and enjoy!

I told you these cups are super easy to make!
