Sweet Eats: The Sweet Scene Mule


I cannot believe how quickly 2015 has gone by. I feel like it was just yesterday I was on Martha’s Vineyard ringing in 2015, and now I’m back here with some of my best friends getting ready to ring in 2016. There are so many things I am looking forward to in 2016, but I’ll get into that in another post.

THIS post is to highlight this delicious Moscow mule (with a twist) I made (with a teeny bit of inspo from Gwenyth Paltrow’s cookbook “It’s All Good”).

The mule (of the Moscow descent) is probably one of my favorite drinks, so I’ve decided to make a few for my friends tonight and want to share it with you guys!

You’ll be sure to wow your friends on New Years Eve before the bottles of Chandon, Moet or Veuve are popped. (let’s be serious, we’re on an Andre budget here! haha)


What you will need (makes 4)

1. 2 cans of Gosling Ginger Beer

2. 1 large grapefruit (sliced for garnishment)

3. 4 limes

4. honey

5. ice

6. Tito’s vodka

7. fresh thyme (for garnishment)


You will want to roll your limes in order to activate/release the juices within. Cut them in half and juice 1 lime into each mug.

Add 1tsp of honey

Add 1/2 cup of ice (or more if you’d like)

Dash in 3 capfuls of Tito’s Vodka (FYI: It is gluten free!)

Pour in 1/2 can of Gosling Ginger beer**

Garnish with slices of grapefruit and fresh thyme (make sure you use FRESH thyme which is different from regular thyme.)

**For extra flavor, you can muddle the grapefruit slices before pouring in the ginger beer***
