Newport, RI seems to be enveloped in a utopian aura, appropriating it for lengthy weekends of the most posh families and singles alike.
Steep in history (think “famous mansions”) and modern allurements (think oyster fests, Boom-Boom Room and West Deck), Newport has a ton to offer.
I may be a little bit biased as I went to college in Rhode Island, but one visit to this coastal paradise and you too will fall in love!
This past weekend, my boyfriend and I ventured down to Newport in order to celebrate my bestie’s birthday with a little bit of polo (sans the actual watching of the game), food with a view (Castle Hill Inn) and a night of merriment (West Deck and Dockside). Being the food blogger and wannabe chef that I am, it wouldn’t be right if I didn’t cook a delicious lobster linguini dish in a white wine and butter sauce.
Keeping it New England coastal chic, my wardrobe stayed on the cool toned, blue and white slate. There definitely wasn’t enough time to do and see all I wanted, but luckily for me, I am an hour and a half away from this exquisite coastal wonderland.
Question of the day: What are your favorite Newport sites to see?
