SweetStyle: A Beanie on the Boardwalk

IMG_3897

Imagine being cramped in a car for 200+ miles and then arriving to a beautiful destination booming with tourists, gorgeous weather and roaring waves as surfers hang 10, and little children proudly build sand castles that are washed away by the waves seconds later.

That’s the scene I expected to see on my road-trip vaca with my boyfriend on our mid-way stop in Ocean City, MD from Boston (real destination OBX,NC). Instead, we were greeted by an empty boardwalk and cold and windy temperatures. Clearly that did not stop us from exploring the boardwalk and snapping a few shots along the way.

The chilly winds weren’t all that bad; I did get a good Beyonce-esque wind swept look going on for my pictures that I can only thank the blogging gods for.

When putting together my travel outfit, I wanted to be comfortable and basic. Last minute I found my neon yellow beanie and thought….why not? The faux leather vest complimented my perforated J.Crew slip-ons and made my basic outfit, again, seem a little more bad-ass (my type of style), especially with my favorite Forever21 statement necklace.

Ocean City….it’s been real, next stop! OBX, NC, ya’ll!

(I’m working on my southern belle accent…yes, my boyfriend is already pleading for me to stop haha)

  1. Mama Kwans has the best fish tacos I have ever had ! The thai money bag appetizer is amazing too and their drinks come in fun glasses! The brewing station is super fun to get a flight of beer, they have a yummy lemongrass beer. If you need a pit stop on the way home I’m in Virginia Beach only about an hour away.
