SweetEats: Bewitched by Wich!t Boston

Located on on the famously known, Newbury St, Wich!t Boston is truly a hidden gem amongst the many high-end shopping destinations for those with deep pockets (one day I will be able to pop tags in All Saints…one day)

As you read the descriptions of each all natural sandwich, your mouth begins to fill with saliva (maybe a little dribble trickles down your chin) as each line dances in front of your eyes and into your mouth to tickle your taste buds.

You find yourself ready to stretch your stomach and empty out your wallet to purchase every single sandwich on the menu as it is completely difficult to choose just one!

My co-worker and I ran (more like speed walked) over to Wich!t on our lunch break and were impressed by

1. the cleanliness

2. the hospitality of the staff/ cashier who greeted us enthusiastically (and never rolled her eyes once as I asked her question upon question upon question)

Per recommendation via another co-worker, my friend ordered the “Crispy Chicken Katsu” Sandwich. It has crispy chicken tempura, crispy sweet potato, carrot laces, leaf lettuce and tonkatsu sauce on a brioche roll.

Meanwhile, I was bewitched and sold on the “Stonewall” Sandwich.

The Stonewall consists of: NY strip sirloin, swiss cheese, portable mushrooms, caramelized onions, and roasted garlic aioli, pressed hot on a house rustic bread. (had to get a side of sweet potato fries and 3 dipping sauces to round it out).

My lunch date and I shared the fries and gave each other half of our sandwiches to try and I can honestly say that they were both equally delicious. They both popped with so much flavor and were both devoured in record time (it was friday, it was “cheat day” and I was starving…sorry I am absolutely not sorry)

So if you’re ever in the area and are looking for something way above subway sandwich standards, stop by Wich!t Boston and you will be sure to leave the establishment happy and filled.

Question of the day: What is your favorite sandwich to order, and from where?
