SweetLife: A Sweet Scene Weekend Recap

I have been having very jam packed weekends lately and I couldn’t be happier. This past weekend I went to an event hosted by Britt Lees of The Relevance Report at “The Street” in Chestnut Hill and enjoyed a wonderful dinner at Trade in Seaport.

Although I would have liked to meet a few more bloggers, I had a fun time looking at all the clothing and accessories (I can’t afford….yet) with my friend Aly and my new blogger friend (and newly discovered Chi-O sister) Kayte of Mass Musings.

I found my new favorite boutique: Ku De Ta

As well as this gorgeous table setting that I’d like to teleport into my future home’s dining room PRONTO!

After taking a few pictures in front of the vibrantly blue door of Portobello Road:

and guzzling back some wine with a side of “Smoke Burger” and fries at Shake Shack, it was time to head home and prepare for the night’s festivities.

I quickly ran home, freshened up my make-up, danced to Beyonce’s new song: 7/11 and headed for Trade.

I have heard a lot about trade on other blogs and on instagram, but I never found time to get there, until this weekend.

Our waiter was very friendly and cheerful, making the already chic and trendy atmosphere more enjoyable.

My boyfriend, our friends, and I decided to order a few of the “smalls” and share amongst ourselves. My favorite dish was the pork belly lettuce wraps. It was my first time having pork belly and I was blown away. The pork belly skin was crispy, yet the meat dissolved in your mouth as you took each bite. Notably, it wasn’t too fatty or heavy as I expect pork belly would be.

We also ordered chicken wings, a mushroom and fig flatbread, fish tacos, Brussels Sprouts and scallion pancakes.

As well as a few rounds of their deliciously crafted mixed drinks and beers:

I think I’ll have to make another visit very, VERY soon!

I feel very happy the way my blogging is going, and I have many other plans under my sleeve, so stay tuned!

xoxo
